Brrrrr!! It was a wee bit chilly this morning for the event but hundreds of runners still came out to participate. I was the official event photographer this year and had a great time photographing PR shots for the Campbell Community Center and also of each of the runners as they came through the finish line. My experience shooting for Stanford sports, Brightroom & Action Sports over the years definitely came in handy. Similar to wedding photography, it has alot to do with getting the focus just right. You have a tiny little red dot on the camera that tells it exactly where to focus. Regarding races, my job is to aim it just right on the subject's face (right on their eyes to be exact), as they dash through the finish line. And not just once or twice but for each and every one of the hundreds of racers. It's definitely a challenge but that's where a steady hand and tons of experience comes into play. Great job to everyone who participated!
