One cold afternoon at Baker's Beach

What an adventure that was yesterday!  The weather forecast said it would be in the 70's but as we rolled into the parking lot at a very overcasted Baker's Beach, my car temp gauge read 61 (Brrrrrr!!).  Quyhn and Truong were great sports about it all and went with the flow.  We still ended up with a bunch of fun shots where you can clearly tell these two are very much in love.  Thank you for being such trooper guys!

Beautiful Pulgas Water Temple

If you live anywhere near Redwood City, I would recommend popping by the Pulgas Water Temple off Canãda Road.  I can see why this location is so popular for weddings along the peninsula!  I was there shooting a group shot for the Sheriff's office and it occurred to me that there are many very beautiful locations right here in our own backyard that I had no clue about.  Even after 20 years, I just recently discovered Big Basin with my family.  My advice: put away the Wii, pack a lunch and go check out The Water Temple & the Fioli Gardens right down the road!  And of course, don't forget to bring your camera.   

Good old friends

It was so great to see my childhood friend again!  He was back in CA with his wife and daughter and were here visiting from NC.  They asked if I would photograph their family and I said yes without any hesitation.  We had so much fun running around Vasona Park letting their little munchkin do her own thing.  One thing you'll quickly learn about photographing kids, is that they don't like to be.  So if you make it fun and distract there attention away from the "ugly big camera," they'll perform cartwheels for ya!  Good too see you again old friend.

Welcome baby Annicka

There is just something so amazing about how a newborn looks at their mom and dad.  Baby Annicka has the most precious eyes as she gets acquainted with her new parents.  Here are some photos from our session.  You'll do wonderfully as first time parents (once you catch up on your sleep).  Good Luck Jen & Henry & welcome baby Annicka!!

Stacey & Andrew's Wedding - Hotel Los Gatos

Congratulations to Stacey & Andy on their recent nuptials! Wow, what beautiful day that was in Los Gatos. Both their families were so sweet and the hotel was incredibly hospitable. We were able to get a bunch of emotionally charged photographs that they will cherish for many years to come.

Mary & Tyson's Wedding - Sebastopol

This was such a beautiful wedding way up in Sebastopol.  For those who don't know where that is, it's way up north near Santa Rosa.  I love how intimate and simple their wedding was.  The weather was perfect and the lighting was unreal.  They were surrounded by their closest family and friends and were able to enjoy every minute of their amazing wedding.

Best buds

There's nothing more special than a photograph of sibblings together.  Growing up with 3 sisters, I now realize how much I cherish the few photos we've taken together as kids.  In the case with the photo below, I had 2 very active brothers who initially did not want to be photographed.  Actually I take that back, at no time did they ever want to be photographed.  So the trick.... let boys be boys.  I chased them around the backyard, got them all riled up and laughing and when they were tired, I asked them to sit together and to give each other a big hug.  They gave me about 1/2 a second to take the shot and this is the shot I ended up with.  This has become one of my all time favorite photographs.

  

Tram & Pedro's Wedding - Dynasty Restaurant

Thank you for the belly ache Tram & Pedro!  It is clear you both share the exact same chemistry and sense of humor.  I can't thank you your family enough for the amazing hospitality throughout the day.  I think someone tried to feed me at least every 15 minutes.  hehe  I wish you both the very best and I'll see you both at your niece's wedding next week!
