Welcome Baby Tristan!

I tend to keep my personal life separate from my professional life but sometimes I just can't help myself.  hehe   I am just too proud of my wife for her amazing strength yesterday as she brought our second son into the world.  I'd like to introduce baby Tristan!  Thank you to all the couples I've meet in the past week who were so understanding and were okay with the possibility of rescheduling our initial consultation.

Engagement Album Layout - Alexis & Carlos

One of my couples asked me about getting an album designed for them since they really liked their engagement photos.  Professional prints are included in my engagement session packages but they wanted something more to show off the photos.  I was floored and honored that they were so happy with the photos.  So with that said, I sat down and put together a sample layout for them to check out.  I am use to doing it for all the weddings I photograph but it was nice to put this together for them so they save the memories forever.

New postcards. Hot off the press!!

I met such amazing people all throughout last year's wedding season, from all my couples to wedding coordinators to other vendors.  I also had the honor of being placed on the preferred vendor's list for the Saratoga Country Club and Seascape Resort in Aptos.  So at the end of each wedding season, I go back and update all my information.  This includes my postcards & flyers and the slideshows & galleries on my website.  I think this allows potential clients to get an updated and honest sense of my photography style, since the photos are from weddings taken only a few months ago.  I had a chance to create some new postcards for a few local locations where I photographed wedding in 2008.   The goal was to keep it simple and clean.

Reconnaissance Mission - Freedom Hall

I met with a sweet couple yesterday who had concerns about their wedding location.  Before a wedding, I typically visit a wedding location 2-3 times to figure out lighting and to scope out the site.  In this case, I wanted to help them put their concerns to rest as they continue shopping for photographers.  The area where they are getting married is a beautiful but is completely surrounded by corporate looking buildings.  So I grabbed my Canon 5D and my trusted wingman (aka my 2 1/2 year old son) and we embarked upon our reconnaissance mission.  Check out some of the shots I posted for them to help show them what I envisioned for their wedding day.
