Exciting New Business Name for 2010

2010 will be the year I change my business name from Accolade Photography to Tom Vo Photography. In the days to follow, I'll be making the edits to my new website and some minor changes to this blog site. I apologize ahead of time for any weird things that might be happening as you visit our sites. Please don't hesitate to email me with any suggestions you might have about the flow of the website or even grammatical errors. The goal was to keep the site clean and simple with a modern, contemporary look. Thank you again for everyone's support. I really couldn't do it without you. Here's a peek at the opening screen for my new website & logo. I like the blue/grey combo in the middle but the brown tones won in the end. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers! ~Tom

Fairmont Hotel Website

This was such a fluke but I was surfing the web and came across some of my work from this past October. I was the photographer for Randa & Matt's Wedding at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel up in the city. It was a blast shooting the bridal party on cable cars and at the magnificent St. Patrick's Church. I can't wait to come back in 2010 throughout wedding season.

Lima & Campagna Holiday Party | The Terrace at Willow Glen Event

Wow, the Lima & Campagna Families sure knows how to throw a holiday party! I was asked to help document this spectacular event. It was amazing since the catering was provided by Gunther's and the music by an amazing band called SAGE. I put a little slideshow together for them with one of Sage's own song. Thank you to all the kind guests and wonderful folks who helped me throughout the evening.

I don't think people realize how fast time goes by in life until you have kids. One day you're up all night comforting them during the first hours of life and before you know it, you're dropping them off at school. With that said, here are some shots of a super sweet family who were quickly realizing their babies had grown up to be boys.

Meet the Myos. I've had the pleasure to photograph them in the past and we've always had fun at our photoshoots. The first time I met them, I was so stoked about their oldest son's name that I begged for their permission to name my 2nd son Tristan. Hopefully our son will grow up to be as kind and polite of a person as their son.

Los Gatos Family Portrait - The Hunts

It was great we were able to squeeze in this family portrait session before the weather gets too wet. I thought it was so cool that not everyone is wearing the exact same thing. The family loved this shot and ended up ordering a huge canvas print for their living room. Talk about a boost for my ego! :P

Szilvia & Chris Maternity Portraits | Los Gatos Photographer

This was one of the best days I've ever seen in November & it made for the best backdrop ever! Szilvia and Chris are just days away from welcoming their new addition. You guys are going to be such awesome parents... once you shake that sleep depravation thing. Hehe Congratulations to you both!!

Los Gatos Family Portraits - Baby Audrey

I grew up here in the bay area so the color changes in the fall are fairly subtle from what you hear about on the East Coast. None the less, the colors I've discovered this year were truly AMAZING! I absolutely love the big piles of leaves and the yellows and oranges that come out as the seasons change. It definitely helped make for a dramatic backdrop with baby Audrey and her family. And when we put her pink hat on, she went from cute to instant Gap Baby. It's gotta be those blue eyes her parents gave her! Thanks for a great photoshoot guys!

Larkspur Family Portraits

I absolutely love these guys! I am invited back a couple times a year into their home to help capture the spirit of their adorable ones. It's so cool for me to see them grow up a little bit each time I come back. And it's funny because they wouldn't give me the time of day but I think they are finally getting use to the guy with the 'big camera.' See for yourself. :)

Alexandra & Alfred's Wedding | Freedom Hall & Gardens

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. Freedom Hall & Gardens is such a beautiful location but is one of the trickiest since it's nestled in between company buildings. I worked my magic for Alex & Al and came up with some fun shots. Congratulations to you both!! :)

San Jose Family Portraits - Baby Amanda

The best part about doing a family portrait photoshoot around Halloween is that you can dress your little ones up in super adorable costumes that would otherwise be 'over the top' the rest of the year. With Baby Amanda, the natural background was PERFECT since her parents Nancy and Mike wanted to dress her up like a bumble bee for Halloween. And if you ask me, she is the CUTEST bumble bee I've ever seen. See for yourself!

Sunnyvale Family Portraits - Baby Leo Revisted

I met Brian and Lynne in April when they asked me to help them photograph their newborn Leo. Now six months later, they kindly invited me back into their home to update the photographs of their quickly growing son. I love that we were able to use natural lighting in their house for the family shots. And it was perfect when he has his little costume on - Leo the Lion. Get it!?? Very clever mommy and daddy!
